Shall I Grow my
Hair Long?
A report by Slough

Women everywhere are faced with the difficult question of whether or not to dedicate
themselves and grow their hair long. It can take a lot of time for some women whose hair maybe
doesn't grow as fast as they'd like. In addition, there is always that middle period of time when hair is not
quite long, but it's not quite short anymore.....Oh dear! to grow or not to
grow.
The key to growing your hair long, really, is being able to make it past this awkward
stage of watching it grow without giving up. We've all experienced a period of time when
we grow out our hair and we can't do anything with it anymore. That's the moment when the question,
shall I grow it long, can become a huge burden.
If you are looking to grow out your hair, there are some things you can do to make it
grow a lot easier. First, try taking supplements or increasing the amount of healthy proteins you are
consuming. This will jump start and help you grow your hair a little quicker and be sure that
the hair that is growing is healthy and strong. If your diet is restricted or you aren't eating enough
protein, you might find that your hair will grow very slowly and, even when it does grow out, it will be
brittle and weak.
In addition to taking supplements, you should also get monthly trims. This is just to
sheer off the bottom edges of your hair which can become split very quickly. When they are split, your hair
will have a more difficult time gaining adequate length. Although getting a monthly trim seems contrary to
growing your hair out, it is actually a very smart undertaking to complete. Plus, your long hair will seem
healthier and fuller if you get it cut as regularly as it needs to be cut.
Don't break down and get it cut short again. Make a goal: Perhaps you want to grow your
hair on past your shoulders. Once you make that goal, don't go back on it. Resolve to reach your goal and
then make a decision. If you grow it that long and you decide that perhaps the length just isn't for you then
get it cut. However, if you don't make it to that point and you just keep cutting it, how will you ever know
whether or not you will prefer it long?
When your hair does grow and start to get longer, make sure to limit your use of
curling irons and flat irons as these will greatly damage the look and feel of your hair. Instead, look for
products that promote volume and shine in air dry situations. Also, make sure to get frequent deep
conditioning treatments so that you can keep your hair looking beautiful all year long. If you find yourself
asking, "Shall I grow it long?" perhaps that is a sign that you should give it a try.
So...come on.....grow.....grow....grow.
